Meet Dimitris Nezis | Singer & Songwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dimitris Nezis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dimitris, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
since I was a little kid I remember the only thing I wanted to do when I grew up was to be a singer. so despite the difficulties I may have faced, I continued my music studies and then released my own songs. I’ve been active in recording for 12 years

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have been a singer and lyricist for 12 years professionally and I believe that the talent combined with the immense love I have for my art makes me stand out and withstand the difficulties. My style belongs more to pop/dance music while at the same time I sing in different languages. I am proud that I have managed to release dozens of songs and also to be awarded dozens of times abroad, without the financial help or, in general, from record companies. It was very difficult, but if you really love what you do, you don’t sleep at night to find solutions to dead ends. And I am very proud of what I have achieved and will do in the future. The lessons I learned and that I would like the world to hear, is to always believe in your dreams and persevere until the end. Music industry is hard and they want to take advantage of you most of the times, but your soul and strength Must always be respected and protected.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
if we are talking about Atlanta then I would take them to eat in the center of the city at wonderful minimal restaurants, then for drinks with a view of skyscrapers. Then another day maybe we would attend a concert in the center of the city. We could visit museums, the centennial park, the aquarium and also the area where Luther King grew up . I would definitely take them for a ride on the north side of town like Sandy Springs & Marietta, While a visit to six flags would definitely be a must. also if it was summer we would definitely appear at the ISSA awards.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I see my story with a different eye than usual. I believe that I tried hard for what I have achieved and the biggest thanks must go to myself. then certainly to those I have worked with until today, especially Konstantinos Oikonomopoulos and all the musicians, producers I will work with in the near future. I also thank my parents for the morals that helped me cultivate as a person. Special thanks to Linda Arrico Centeno, Kitt Wakeley, Tamanie Dove, Natalie Jean, Madj Johnson, Tracy Cruz, Sarah Ashley, Dawn Rix ,Amy Jo, Marsol Herrera, Seema Sethi. All good friends that inspired me in their way.
