We had the good fortune of connecting with Gudrun Wu Snyder and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gudrun, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When I first conceived of Moon Rabbit, I wanted to offer acupuncture and other eastern holistic healing modalities in a warm, inviting and accesible space. There are so many misconceptions about what
acupuncture has to offer and I wanted to create a place where people were excited to go and try something
new.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I went through multiple career changes before becoming an acupuncturist and entrepreneur. Though there is part of me that wishes I could back in time and speed up the process, I know that each (mis)step helped
get me to where I am now. It is the journey that grows you, not the destination.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of my favorite spots in Chicago, other than Moon Rabbit of course, are: – Soho House – a members club, hotel, restaurant, pool, and a wonderful community
– Scratch Goods – they offer food grade beauty products and custom mask bars
– VietFive Coffe – owned by Tuan, a Vietnamese refuge, who imports his family’s coffee from
Vietnam. It is the real deal.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
– Shout to the owners of Scratch Goods, Maureen and Elizabeth. They are making it work post pandemic after losing all the hype they had built up.
– Tuan of VietFive – he is authentic and real. His story is beautiful
