We had the good fortune of connecting with Erika Dehlic and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Erika, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have been a sports enthusiast for years, now more than ever having 2 kiddos involved in over 5 different sports.

I have been searching for trendy, unique, creative game day gear to support my little athletes.

With very little to choose from I always settled for what the Team Association offered. Most of the product lacked creativity and imagination but it is what was available .

I have a lengthy background in design and photography. I was ready to start something to cater to this overlooked area of team gear.

I had the idea of coming up with a one of a kind, one stop shop for custom and trending game day must haves.

How can we integrate styles that are popular today and integrate them into team gear that is one of a kind and unique!

We do it with Rally Cry!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I was lucky enough to go to The Savannah College of Art and Design. Not once, but twice. One for a BFA in photography and second for a MFA in design. All thanks to supportive parents and a special Grandma that believed in my dreams.

I worked as a commercial photographer as well as a portrait photographer www.erikadehlic.com

After my Masters I started to work on corporate design and web building.

I love the diversity that these two backgrounds offer me.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Atlanta offers so much! It’s not easy to condense all of my favorite things. If I had a week long itinerary it would include some of these.

Fox Theater- For its beautiful architecture
Live Music- Anywhere! Love live music!
Food-To many to choose from
Coffee-Love local, small, family owned shops
Hiking- The beautiful Silver Comet Trail, Decatur’s South Peachtree Creek Trail or Mason Mill Park
Shopping-Local Boutiques
Serenbe- My favorite secret hideaway.
Beltline-Walking or biking the belt line and enjoying yummy food.
West Midtown-Love the people and neighborhood vibe

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My biggest supporter of all things creative has always been my sister Michelle Mattingly.

We couldn’t be more opposite. She, the brainy doctor and me the artist.

She spent numerous hours listening to all of my crazy creative ideas. At times she would shut my down immediately bringing me back to reality. While other times she would get so excited about my creative dreams and listen to me for hours on end.

She lost her battle with cancer recently, Those conversations are what keep me excited and driven to keep on creating.
