What’s the most difficult decision you’ve ever had to make?

People often ask about the best decision, but we think it’s also very enlightening to learn about people’s most difficult decisions and the frameworks they used to think through those decisions.

I think one of the most difficult decisions I’ve ever had to make is going against the grain. I spent several years in school being taught a specific model of medicine, how to be a “real” nurse, and what was expected of me in this field — and when I finally got to the position I dreamed of being in, it was devastating to realize that it wasn’t what I thought it would be — nor was it the picture that was painted in school, and certainly not what you see on TV. The most difficult decision I have ever made was stepping in to become the caregiver for both of my siblings after my mothers passing. I have learned several things within myself and my family throughout the time of our loss. It has brought us 3 closer than ever. Most of my time is dedicated to my family and my passion for my craft. I continue to take my brother Christopher to his therapies and extracurricular activities as I also teach my sister how to drive and become an independent young woman. Read more>>

One of the most important decision’s that I had to make was not to give up. When your back is against the wall, and you’re barely able to keep your head above the water, when your just completely drained because everyday, all day your working trying to find answers and come up with nothing. When the city is giving you a hard time, and almost trying to make it impossible for you to get your business permit so you can operate your business, and the partners that were supposed to be there by your side just up and leave.
