Hi Chaqual, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting Bonnie Blist Studios was that I wanted multiple steams of income. I’ve always admired girl bosses and I knew what I was great at. That was skincare and beauty. I take pride in making sure my body is health so it was a no brainer to start a skincare line that would help others feel and look as beautiful as possible.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Bonnie Blist Studios was designed with the hopes of producing body awareness as well as confidence back into each individual whom feels Unworthy of a happy healthy you. I am most excited about each Bonnie Blist babe challenging themselves to want more. Healthy skin is more than what products you use it is a a lifestyle and if you bet on yourself you are not only taking a stand over your fear but you are also making a change to a new life and the best you you can possibly be. Bonnie Blist studios is where it is today because of the sacrifices that I have made as a business owner. I decided to relocate my business from Chicago Illinois here to Atlanta Georgia; to cater to a more diverse cultural background. Being a business owner while being a full-time grad student was not easy at all. I faced several different challenges that almost forced me to give up on my business. What I had to realize was my business is like my child I have to care for it, nurture it, love it with all its ups and down but most importantly I have to fight for it. I fight for my business every single day. Being a new business owner I’ve learned to never give up and to never sell yourself short. I’ve learned my products and I’ve learned what control I have over my audience. I would like the world to know that Bonnie Blist Studios is a all natural skin care company that caters to discoloration, redness and dry skin. We Are very hard-working and each product is made out of love and respect for each client we serve.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of my favorite places to hang out in the city would have to be live at the battery, the perimeter Mall, and of course Midtown. All of these places are full of liveliness and coming from a big city like a Chicago it’s makes me feel right at home.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
As I developed Bonnie Blist Studios My mentor Angelica Baker has really helped open my eyes to so many endless possibilities for my business. Angelica is a business owner herself who has ran serval successful businesses for over 20 years. She’s inspired me to not only start my business but also prepare to open a storefront of my own. She has never hesitated to offer help or words of encouragement.
