We had the good fortune of connecting with Pink Diamond and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Pink, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I pursued a creative career because I’ve always had a passion for art. My best asset is my freestyle art and shaping. Ever since a little kid I would love to create my own canvases, paintings, drawings etc. Being a nail artist lets me do just that and I love it.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
During my time in college I started to fall in love with the art of nails. The art versatility is why I’m so attracted there is so much you can do with nails. I’m a creative person by nature so the patience was there. Learning how to lay acrylic, exploring onychology, and the art was all so amazing to me. As time past by, nails became so interesting to me I started looking into it as a career. I practiced and practiced although I wasn’t consistent because of work, I figured there was more I wanted to accomplish in this type of industry. I love for art and passion for helping people, doing nails allows me to express myself in that way and also learn what others appeal to. It was not easy to me because of things I had going on causing me to be in nail school longer than planned. But I kept it pushing and didn’t give up even when I wanted to. I am proud of myself for not because I’ve accomplished some goals I set for myself and much more is coming. I excited to see what the future has planned for Pink Diamond Nail Artistry. During my journey I have learned so much from working in shops, the people around me and experience itself. I want everyone to know that this is just the beginning of Pink Diamond Nail Artistry, I want my brand to grow and further expand in the future.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
So I’m from Chicago, there is a bunch of things we could get into to have a good time. First I would take her to the Museum of Ice Cream to take fun pictures. Then we would head over to the mall because we both love to shop, right along with eating so our next stop would be Fontanos. There they have sub sandwiches and pizza you could choose from and much more. We could sip n paint after , then dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. Within the next few days we could visit rooftops to get lunch, drink and enjoy the views of the city. Next, The Sugar Factory has the best drinks. They make them all pretty and they taste so good. That’s definitely a stop on the itinerary. But we have to go and have fun at the Escape Room, we would have to work together to escape out of the room. Right along with laser tag , we can do all of this at the Combat Chicago. Chinatown can be the next stop so we could visit the Sugar Shack and get rolled icecream and funnel cake. There is so much we an do and visit you wouldn’t want to miss out.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to family, who has supported me in every way possible. If it wasn’t for the constructive criticism, practicing and encouragement I was given, I probably would have gave up by now. My clients are the ones who keep me going as well, thank y’all.
