We had the good fortune of connecting with ALTAVESE DILWORTH and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi ALTAVESE, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have always been the “go-to girlfriend” whenever a friend or a friend of a friend needed help writing their resume or wanted my advice on career-related issues. I am not particularly sure why I was sought out for these situations, however, I absolutely loved it. So when COVID hit in 2020, and I had nothing but time, I decided that it was time to monetize what brings me joy.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Altavese Loraine Career Consultant for Professionals, and I am extremely passionate about seeing women flourishing in the workplace. I want every woman to see themselves as a leader regardless of their professional title. I work with individuals to help them navigate their career journey. My favorite part is seeing my clients have their “lightbulb moment”! This is when they finally have clarity on their next steps, and it’s the moment that brings me so much joy!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I absolutely love Atlanta and all that it has to offer! We would start with Happy Hour Friday evening at the Draw Bar.

Saturday morning we would head to Piedmont Park for the outdoor Farmer’s Market, followed by lunch at Krog Street Market. We would then walk off those calories on the Beltline trail while taking in the sites and people watching. Saturday evening we would head to dinner at one of my favorites, Poor Calvin’s which is an amazing Asian Fusion restaurant in the city. We would end the evening at Parlor in Castleberry Hill for drinks.

Sunday morning we would head to brunch at Murphy’s in Virginia Highlands before heading back to Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International Airport.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to ShoutOut to Nicole Walters and her amazing team over at Inherit Learning for coaching and mentoring me as I started on my entrepreneurial journey!
