We had the good fortune of connecting with Jacques Posey and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jacques, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Honestly, we can’t take credit for it at all. It was God who placed us in a business before we knew it. What I mean by this is that it all started by God leading us to start a Facebook group for marriage and engaged couples. From there, we began encouraging couples through various questions and affirmations. Shortly thereafter, God gave us the vision for our first book, “Spirit Led Marriage, Our Journey” where we shared the story of redemption as Gods son and daughter and in our marriage. From there we began conducting Facebook live teachings and having conferences on marriage and relationships as we were led by God. From there, God gave us several other businesses to start in which moved forward and progressed.
What should our readers know about your business?
We have Spirit Led Enterprise which is comprised of : Spirit led Ministries: A. We offer one on one group coaching for marriage and relationships. B. Our books on marriage and relationships and our podcast “In The M.I.X. with Jacques & Toshia. Spirit Led Publishing Group: A. Not only do we publish our own books, we help others self-publish the right way. Our most recent business that is separate from the Spirt Led Brand is U.S. Diversity Group where we are founding partners. U.S. Diversity Group where we are owners and developers of hotels with a major international brand. What sets us apart is that all of our efforts are biblically based, practical and transparent offering. We are most excited about U.S. Diversity Group. Less than 2% percent of African Americans are hotel owners. As a African American group, we are excited to have this opportunity for ourselves as well as to be able to bring other African Americans along on the journey. To get to here today business-wise took a lot researching of the market, obtaining various certifications, partnerships, investing in our business and faith. This was absolutely not easy, we overcame the challenges by continuing to work hard, be consistent and operate by faith during these times. The lessons we learned was that it is essential to build relationships, not just partners. We want the world to know that If one believe in their vision, put in the work and be the answer to a problem, you will always be successful.
