Meet Hannah Ajibade | Event Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Hannah Ajibade and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Hannah, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was “Hannah, just do it” lol of course I was scared but I knew I had to do it. I have been decorating family and friends events for years and after I decorated my daughter’s first birthday, I decided to take decorating/designing seriously.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My event decorating business is set apart from others because of our core values. Family is the inspiration behind why we do what we do. I and my team always aim to leave a lasting impression with every event we do and to make each event an experience to remember. Transforming spaces into magnificence gives me so much joy. I am where I am today in my business because of my faith in Jesus, hard work and dedication. support of family and friends, and let’s not forget the amazing people who trust I and my team with their events and allowing us to take part in their joyous moments. The lessons I have learned along the way are everyone is not my client, and that’s okay, whatever is for me will always find its way to me, always trust the process and never stop believing in myself because I am talented. I would love the world to know that showing up for yourself and your brand every single day will pay off one day. And also to never stop learning and improving your skill set. Never lose hope of your vision and always remember your “why.” Do not give up on yourself because the people you are sent to are waiting on you to manifest your dreams.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The DMV has everything for anyone . For
Restaurants – Eko House for Nigerian food, Thai Chef for Thai Food, Ottoman Taverna for Turkish food
Sightseeing – African American History Museum, National Air & Space Museum, US Botanic Garden

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First of all, I will like to give honor to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for the idea to start this business and his unending Grace he gives me every single day. I will also like to acknowledge the support of my family and friends…they are simply the best. My husband for his endless support and for being hands on with the business. To my siblings for always ready to drop everything to assist with setup and breakdown. To my parents, for always supporting my dreams. To my friends turned family, y’all are the absolute best. I honestly have the best group of people in my corner and I am forever grateful to Jesus Christ for the gift of people he surrounded me with.
