We had the good fortune of connecting with Cassandra Bellevue and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cassandra, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Years ago, I remember hearing about a real-life case study that had a huge impact and resonated with me on a deep level. It was a case study about prison inmates. Every day, this specific group of inmates were to get up, then after breakfast come out to the courtyard and collectively move this huge pile of heavy stones. Their assignment on day 1, was to move the stones from the left side of the courtyard to the right. The following morning, their assignment was to, once again, come to the courtyard and move the same piles of stones. Only this time they were instructed to move them from the right side of the courtyard back to the left side, where they originally found them. This routine commenced day after, day after day. Back and forth, back and forth. What the researchers witnessed at the end of the case study was a vast increase of depression and suicidal thoughts in these inmates. What they found at the root of the mental decline, was that these inmates were plagued by feeling a lack of purpose. They felt their lives were meaningless because they were not accomplishing anything.
So many people are living their lives in a similar way. They may not live in a physical prison moving large rocks. However, I submit to you that there are millions of people blindly following mundane instructions day in and day out. They close out each day feeling depressed and like they have no real purpose in life. They feel like they’ve failed to accomplish whatever their purpose is in life. They find themselves living in a prison of the “status quo”, or a prison of “competing with the Jones’ ” or just feeling like sheep. Whatever the name of their personal prison is, they feel unfulfilled and miserable. They feel stuck, unheard, unseen and feel ready to just quit on life in general. There’s a lack of passion and excitement about life and their future.
Hey! I’ve experienced this kind of hopelessness myself. I launched Bellevue Life Coaching because I want to come after those personal “prisons” like a wrecking ball! My goal is to transition people from “moving rocks” lifelessly to activating them for destiny! For me personally, outside of being a mom, there is nothing more fulfilling than empowering people to get free from whatever prison they find themselves in. I’m excited about getting people on track to fulfilling their purpose. I’m a faith-based life coach. The work I do allows people to identify the gifts, talents, and passions that God already equipped them with. With my approach, we funnel those gifts/talents/passions into practical strategies that will lead them to accomplishing work they will love. We identify roadblocks and knock them out of the way. I supply my clients with practical steps and tool so they can walk in their purpose, confidently. After all, we’ve heard it said, “when you love what you do, you’ll never work another day in your life.” To an extent, that has rung true for myself and many others.
Imagine a community, or a world, where people are doing what they love for a living! These people are going to be more joyful, more fulfilled, are willing to volunteer and give back, are healthier mentally, physically, and spiritually, are better parents, are more effective employees and business owners, they are running their own non-profits… you name it! According to my clients, this transformational coaching program “Destiny Track 2.0: YOUR PURPOSE ACTIVATED” has been mentally, spiritually, and emotionally healing process for them. Breaking away from the mold and the expectations of others is a freedom that is much needed for many. Being fulfilled as a person and living on purpose is a game changer that will affect communities, generations and the world for years to come.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business was birthed amid the greatest shaking our generation has ever seen, a global pandemic! The story of how my business was birthed, through perseverance, coincides with the message of what I do for a living. Hi there. My name is Cassandra Bellevue. I’m an Author, Speaker, a Certified Life Coach and an entrepreneur.
Bellevue Life Coaching started off with one-on-one individual life coaching. Recently, many have expressed interest in group life coaching and I’m here for it. What I’ve discovered is that people are hungry for, and some feel of desperation for, a like-minded community of people. I’ve had people express that while they are surrounded by great friends and family, it’s hard to find people who understand what they are personally going through. They’re looking for people who also are committed to the process to find and fulfill their purpose! Fun right!? I’m an extrovert so I was more than happy to put together a group destiny track.
Our next group track is launching Sunday August 7th at 3pm. This will be a 6-week online course. Join us after church, Sunday brunch or that nap. You honestly can’t put a price on investing in yourself and stepping into your purpose. Honoring and respecting yourself in that way is a game-changer. I love having a front row seat to that kind of personal transformation in my clients.
Those who register and pay before August 1st get the promotional price. So grab a friend or two and come join the crew on Sundays afternoons. For those who want 1-on-1 coaching we offer a 90-day transformational track as well.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned surviving and thriving over the last several years is to not give up. I’ve learned to trust in God’s goodness and will for my life. Bellevue Production Co. exists to empower people to become the best versions of themselves they can possibly be. Everything I do, from the books I’ve published, to speaking engagement, to book signing events, to life and purpose coaching, to the live Tuesday morning broadcasts on social media… there’s a common thread and message. God created each of us for a purpose, no one is inconsequential. If you lean into the process, you’ll soon be living a fulfilled life beyond your wildest dreams. My personal story, which you can find in my book Pressed But Not Crushed, is a testament of that journey and process. Everyone has a story and it’s powerful. The good news is that anyone can start their journey today. Connect with me for a free 15-minute “Approach the Coach” session. You can book one on my website CassandraBellevue.com or send me a DM on social media.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
What a fun question! Because I have a little musical theater background and I am an avid music lover, my first order of business would be to see if there are any musicals or shows taking place down at the Fox Theater and other similar venues. A friend and I just saw Blue Man Group at the Fox theater this month! When the Broadway shows come through Atlanta, I usually attend just about all of them. I’d also be looking into concerts because they are so much fun. Live music is so therapeutic and can be so refreshing to the soul.
You can’t come to Atlanta and not invade the food scene! I love how diverse our city is. You can find cuisine from just about any country in the metro Atlanta area. That may not be a big deal to some, but it’s one of my favorite things here. A friend recently introduced me to Poor Calvin’s, and it seriously has to be one of Atlanta’s best kept secrets.
Depending on the time of year we’d also be hitting a few outdoor festivals. Some Nigerian friends invited me to the Atlanta Jollof Music and Food festival happening this month. Oh and the art festivals… don’t get me started on the people sharing their gifts and talents with the world. The food festivals, the hot air balloon festivals, those types of events make my heart happy. Being outside and just enjoying the simple things in life go a long way with me.
Atlanta has something going on just about every weekend, seemingly, so it’s a blessing to have all those options!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The first group I would like to dedicate my Shout out to is my friends and support group. You can never underestimate a fabulous support group. There’s a saying about how we are the average sum of our 5 closest friends, or the 5 people we spend the most time with. If that’s the case, then I’m gold! Haha! I’m so grateful for my circle. In my opinion, a great support group is not only the people who cheer you on publicly and to your face, but also are genuinely rooting for you behind closed doors, behind your back and privately as well. The people whose own lives are an inspiration to you, in and of themselves. Their own process and path to destiny motivates you to keep going hard after your own dreams and goals. I’m talking about the people who have sojourned with me on the way to destiny without a spirit of jealousy, judgement and/or competition. I know… that was a long list of attributes. However, these kinds of people are worth their weight in gold.
They are a lot of people who have a hard time seeing other people shine, succeed and/or win. I’ve always found that to be bizarre because there’s room at the table for everyone. Everyone brings something unique and different to the table. A big shout to all the people who are 100%, unapologetically who they are meant to be. The ones who are so busy working on being the best versions of themselves that they don’t even have time or energy to consider being jealous, slanderous and/or gossipy. These are the ones pursuing their own wholeness and healing and the natural by-product is that they can help facilitate the same process in others.
A great big shout out to the real ones in my life. They know who they are. My tribe of people who respect and honor what I bring to the table and realize that cheering for me doesn’t diminish their own greatness in any way shape or form; and vice versa.
The second group I would like to recognize are clients!!! Listen, these people have put their trust and my books, coaching program, and the process. To them, I am immensely grateful. To those who have read my books, Pressed But Not Crushed and the Companion Guide, thank you! Shout out to those who bought books for themselves and friends! Shout out to all those who reach out on social media and through my website sharing their personal stories and how the books and weekly Instagram and Youtube broadcasts are helping you out! You guys keep me motivated to do what God has called me to do. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Hopefully I’ll get to meet you at the next event or book signing. Stay tuned in and connected for dates and times of the next opportunity.
