We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taylor, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
My routine that contributes to my success is continuing my passions of creating in the space of photo, video and following whatever is meant for me that is equal to my passions as it has all created a brand for myself. Staying true to my most creative self has paid off and created opportunities for me to take it seriously and continue doing what I enjoy most without feeling like I’m unfulfilled in my purpose.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Things were not easy for me to follow my crafts as things like school and taking a traditional route clouded my judgments on if I wanted to go full force with just sticking to creating a brand for myself, however, things worked out for me when I just kept my vision, and God first.

My advice for anyone that’s deciding on doing multiple things at once is to always find time for the number one vision you see for yourself. Keep it first and whichever one is giving you more pull and working in your favor may be your calling@

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If we’re following my day-to-day itinerary In Atlanta, It’s pretty chill being that I’ve lived here for so long and found my flow. I’m good for staying in the city and going to a rooftop spot for drinks, chill invite-only type networking events if I’m invited. On a good day, I will go to a lounge for a vibe and music but you won’t catch me clubbing like that.

If you’re new to Atlanta I recommend you don’t leave the city until you’ve visited one hot topic spot like slutty vegan and at least one good southern restaurant. You will no doubt find several spots that offer hookah, wings and good music if you like those things. I would say a vibe downtown or in midtown for a first visit is good for this.

In general, ATL is capable of accommodating both vibes. No matter how often I travel or what this place is known for, it appeals to both sides of my personality. I love my city.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’ve always had a very quiet passion for fashion, vintage-style type of movies and crafts. These qualities, along with my interest in acting/being in front of the camera have also inspired me so I would also fuel that side of my passion by participating on set in movies and films by getting some camera time for fun and it helped to enhance what I am doing and to learn from it in different ways over time. Eventually, taking these skills into video content creation and being in front of the camera allowed me to express myself like never before and to bring clarity on what I enjoy doing most or what I see long-term for myself going forward.

Growing up, I lived with my father full-time in Atlanta. This somehow encouraged me to find what I wanted for myself by living the quality of life he was used to enjoying every day. He has written a book “The name is common, but a resume is not” Available now on Amazon and will have a book that entails what it’s like raising a child as a single father that all single parents can relate to which is endearing to me as well as it had a significant impact on my life as well.
