We had the good fortune of connecting with Boonie and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Boonie, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Over time I had to adjust how I think about this. I know understand that work-life balance is a constant cycle, it is not something that I can just check off of my to-do list and never revisit again. I have to actively work to engage my boundaries to sustain a work-life balance that is comfortable for me. When things become off balance, I take the time assess what I am feeling and what points are stressors for me. I then can also make any needed adjustments to make sure I am in more a centered space.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am proud of the content that I have produced in over 200 episodes with The Boonie Breakdown. It’s been amazing to connect with so many amazing people to help educate my audience on a wide array of topics. It excites and invigorates me when I get messages from my audience about how something they learned on the podcast and implemented ended up being a game changer for them. It doesn’t matter if we are discussing estate planning, sex, or relationships, the content I create and produce is helping people in their daily lives.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to dedicate my shoutout to The Brain Trust. These four women were instrumental in pushing me in the early stages to start my podcast.
