We had the good fortune of connecting with Jahnae White and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jahnae, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
To empower women to defend and protect themselves!
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is Trigger Trainers LLC, servicing Atlanta and surrounding areas with firearm safety and defense training! While serving my clients, I teach the importance of firearm safety in a relatable way to help them to become comfortable with guns in order to protect themselves and their families. I am most excited about being able to help my community become a safer place by educating men, women and children on the safeties and responsibilities that comes along with firearm ownership. Furthermore, it excites me when people WANT to learn how to be responsible gun owners! Getting to where I am in this industry was a challenge because it’s male dominated, even when I took my certification classes and trainings, I was one of two women in a class full of men. However, growing up with a father who was an expert/sharpshooter in the Army and a combat engineer in the Vietnam War, assistance from my husband who encouraged me along the way, and having a heartbreaking feeling where I see on the news when children are hurt or worse by careless acts of firearm owners, it makes the challenges worth it.
There were plenty of lessons learned along the way, but the most valuable lesson that I’ve learned is to NEVER GIVE UP, follow your heart, find your purpose and live in it!
I encourage all gun owners (new and existing) to take a firearm class AND train as much as possible! I want my future clients to know that if you are nervous about training, I CAN and WILL help you in a relatable and fun way!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting town, I would of course suggest going to the shooting range and get some training in! But first, we would go and enjoy brunch at one of Atlanta’s exclusive brunch spots… I’d like to call it “Brunch & Bullets”. Afterwards, maybe a spa date with massages and facials and a nice lounge to enjoy the rest of the night.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to send a big thank you to all of my supporters!
