We had the good fortune of connecting with Carls Michelle and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Carls, why did you pursue a creative career?
Art inspires me to be myself, through art I am able to express myself in fashion and on canvas. Being that I am so inspired by art I wanted to create a way that I can inspire others.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a professional figure model. This form of modeling has changed my life in great ways. I’m in homes, restaurants, and have been featured in a magnitude of museums. It is amazing that through art you can portray so many different emotions based on what you’re feeling or how you’re feeling. Being a figure model, you have to be passionate about being art. Standing, sitting, or laying in the same pose for three or more hours isn’t the easiest task, to make time flow by I always kept my music playing in my headphones. On my figure modeling journey, I found that it is important to know your worth.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First, we would stop at Virgils Gullah Kitchen for great food, chill vibes, and good music. Then to mellow out the day we are headed to the Atlanta Beltline which takes you from one side of city to the next. I’m a designer so I’m always dragging my friends with me to Gail K my favorite fabric stores. After spending two hours weeding through fabrics, we’d end our night at one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta Escobar Seafood.
