We had the good fortune of connecting with Kj Harris and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kj, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I feel like as a artist or musician , everyday is a risk. Especially when you are independent . Investing in yourself to further your Career. Spending countless hours perfecting your craft without knowing what the reward will be . Music has always been apart of my life but not always been looked at by others as a career.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m just a kid from pg county trying to get their music heard. A lot of my inspiration comes from old 90”s early 2000s era of hip hop. I want to bring that good feeling to music. I want to promote longevity in my music and hope for everyone to just be themselves . It took a lot of trial and error and growing as a man to deeply understand my music . I learned to always stay focus no matter what. Challenges will always come but it takes a strong person to bounce back . I want the world to know that they need to be ready for this Wav!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I mean if it’s your first time visiting dc we can take a ride around the city. Grab some drinks . Maybe hit u st. Hit the studio .and get some vibes going
