We had the good fortune of connecting with Kourt. and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kourt., let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
My inspiration come from life itself. Things like nature, human habits, and societal issues all prompt me to become a better version of myself and inspire new elements within my creative ventures.
Each moment that I live and interact with other beings, it allows me to gain a new perspective on life, who I was called to be, and what I was called to do.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve always wanted to do music from the time I was a little girl. By the time I got to high school, mt mother finally caved and allowed me to have my first studio session. Such a life altering experience for my creative mind!
It showed me that hard work, dedication, and perseverance are key.
Overtime, it has not been easy at all. I’ve wanted to give up a lot. However, there were constant reminders that I was built for this and that people needed my artistry and creativity to help get them through certain circumstances.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Definitely head to Columbus and take a Riverflow Yoga Class with Dana or Maureen (hey queens!)
I would also recommend eating at Slutty Vegan (located in Atlanta) or Rose’s Caribbean Restaurant (located in Columbus)
That’s literally all I have for you. I am the BIGGEST homebody lol.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My tribe deserves the hugest shoutout. They know exactly who they are. These are the people that prompt me to best version of myself, dont take any BS from me, and are my greatest hype (wo)men.
Without them, I’m not sure where I would be, but I’m grateful I dont have to find out anytime soon.
