We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashlee Taylor, Esq and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashlee, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I believe that my definition of success changes depending on the goal I’ve set; however, I live by a concept I call “the 4 G’s” to accomplish my goals, regardless of what the goal is.
My 4 G’s are: God. Grind. Grit. Gratitude
God: I’m a very spiritually grounded woman so at the foundation of my success, prayer is and meditation are the most vital contributors. I rarely pray for “things” and typically ask God for wisdom and strength, for the wisdom that is provided will tell me HOW to obtain the “thing” peacefully and permanently, and the strength will help me to see the goal through.
Grind: My work ethic is impeccable…I do the work humbly and patiently. I’ve learned that you have to take the stairs towards success (slow & steady) which allows everything to evolve and align in its perfect place and time. I commit early on to my goals and I consistently do whatever is required to achieve my desired results, without much regard to how long it will take to achieve those results..
Grit: I’m not afraid of failure, I actually fail often. I’m more afraid of mediocrity and minimizing the gifts and talents that God has granted me. My grit pushes me beyond my fears and it picks me up when failure knocks the wind out of me. The most consistent thing I do is never give up.
Gratitude: Everyday I intentionally express gratitude to God for everything that I have, right now. I believe that all of the POWER to create the life I want resides in the “present”, not the future. So being grateful for today’s blessings helps me to create the blessings of tomorrow.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I am definitely the first to say that I’m not “self made”. Behind every successful entrepreneur is a successful team of people helping them achieve greatness.
My husband is probably my biggest supporter. He’s the first person to listen to all my crazy business ideas without judgement, and typically the first investor. He’s also the first person to pick me up when I experience failure. He’s a beast in his own right but always give me space to be great and pursue my own personal goals.
Finally, my family (parents, aunts/uncles, cousins) are ALWAYS supportive, as well as my close friends. I have to shoutout my extended family Torrie, Neonta, Amber, Ashley & Michael Sutton’, Brandon & Brandi Brooks, and Natasha & Pierre Brown who are not only supportive but they allow me to just be me. They respect my grind, but they also allow me to be unapologetically me.
