We had the good fortune of connecting with Kayla and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kayla, how do you think about risk?
Honestly, I was not a huge risk taker. I like to feel safe, stable and secure. That has held me in less ideal situations longer than I wanted. So, Starting my own business has allowed me to shake it up! Bet on myself, the talent and expertise I have developed. I know my foundation so I get excited when I take a risk and it doesn’t work out! It gives me a chance to level up harder. I have challenged myself in many ways that help me grow everyday! Those risks add up to big rewards when you bet on yourself!

What should our readers know about your business?
My talents set my business apart from other social media strategists because I balance the tight rope of all sides of social.

My core is writing. I love making words jump out and touch your heart. Many people aren’t familiar with the term “copywriting” although we take in thousands of pieces of copywriting daily. Copy is written communication used to persuade an audience to take any action or to raise their awareness of a brand. i.e the words that make up a passionate blog, those enticing product descriptions that make you click “Add to Cart” and even the words you are reading NOW. Copy, captions , how ever you address it, I have the wardrobe to dress it up right!

The other side is I get so excited about curating content that tells a story for my own blog and for other brands. When you add that to copywriting, InterlacedVibes packs a powerful punch. I curate my own food and travel content to educate others on experiences and joy found in exploring.

My desire is to tie it alll up in a bow and have a full agency aiding businesses in creating experiences in real life and on social that includes videography, photography and copywriting. Those are the gems that build brand equity. The presence of your brand standing tall with no questions asked! I want the world to know InterlacedVibes is steaming from passion but moving with strategy to help brands build!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Say less!!! Greenville has so many gems!

First we are grabbing coffee and breakfast at Barista Alley in Greer! Lattes, crepes and vintage views.

Then, we are renting bikes to stroll through the city on the Swamp Rabbit Trail. The trail goes pass the gorgeous River Falls Park and down the quaint Main Street of Greenville. Which will take us straight to lunch at The Commons, Greenville’s indoor food hall serving up tacos, burgers, wine and pastries!

Then, we are going to unwind at Focus and Relax for a deep massage after that intense bike ride.

We can get dressed up for a night out with a Seafood dinner at Rick Erwin’s Nantucket followed by at dazzling drinks and entertainment at the Juniper Rooftop overlooking the city.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d love to shout out my husband Ryan, owner of Why Wear Anything Else leather goods. He has consistently supported me and helped me put the foot on the gas when it come to working strategically and efficiently in my business!

My parents deserve a trophy for supporting my talents growing up because my childlike love for writing, food & traveling started at home and will continue to flourish!!
