We had the good fortune of connecting with Jazz V and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jazz, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was, Once I figured out what I wanted to, how I could do it required a plan. My plan was, I had to INVEST in myself. If that meant becoming an employee until I could become the employer, then I had to

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
1998-99 I started out with a “What would it be like?” Sitting on my sofa looking at RapCity in the basement. My 1st major event was Trick Daddy’ & Trinia concert at a local club in Macon, GA. I contacted the radio station got Slip n Slide Record label info and it was UP from there. I figured out what I wanted to do, and I came up with a plan to do it. I changed my major from Electrical Engineering to Marketing because my mama told me I could sell air!! One of the lessons I learned was , HAVE A PLAN! Sometimes you gotta go back and “make adjustments “ but you gotta have a PLAN. Stay consistent! For 25 years I’ve always wanted to be the BEST version of ME, so if I compete with yesterday’s version of me, I’ll be in a better position to win.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ok so I am a foodie! I love food and entertainment so it’s a must we hit up the strip joints . Magic City is one of my favorite places because the Kitchen has the best fried lobster tails ever!! The atmosphere is ‘Big Boss’ . I love it!! Also I love history so visiting Auburn Ave, the King Center , Edgewood Ave is a must. Back in the day, I always had to hangout in the Underground. Now it’s Lennox or Phipps Plaza for a little shopping

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My children . My children holds me ACCOUNTABLE. My purpose is to set an example for them
