We had the good fortune of connecting with Adrienne Mayfield and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adrienne, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
My favorite quote and life verse is Micah 6:8. “He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?” This verse speaks strongly to the answer for many of the societal ills that we face today. If we do what is right, defer to others’ needs over our own, and treat everyone with mercy instead of judgement, we create the foundation for strong, mutually beneficial relationships. As someone who makes a living in the “people business,” understanding how to leverage relationships in a way that makes people feel valued and affirmed is imperative. The most common feedback I receive from clients concerns my accessibility and commitment to meet their needs. When people know you are committed to their best interests, you have no problem acquiring and keeping their business.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am an attorney who specializes in personal injury and civil issues. My firm specializes in a commitment to provide consistent, capable advocacy for all of our clients. I am excited about all the opportunities that have become available as the world was forced into the technology space. Virtual assistance provides a level of accessibility that was often difficult to manage before COVID-19 shifted our worldview. Prior to practicing law, I was a high school English teacher and administrator for 11 years. Making the transition to law at age 37 was challenging, but I had a goal in mind, so I persevered. I lost my mom to breast cancer at the end of my 1L year, but I didn’t stop. I developed a skill set for overcoming challenges that is used to motivate and encourage my clients today.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Day One-We would visit the Georgia Aquarium and the High Museum. Both are two of my favorite places to go to have a low key, informative experience. For lunch, we would experience the wonder that is known as “The Sun Dial,” since it provides an aerial view of all things Atlanta. Day Two the Castleberry Hill district. A trip to Pascal’s is a must for its excellent food and unique history as a site of civil rights strategy meetings. We would take a tour of the King Center, AUC center, and the National Center For Civil and Human Rights and finish with dinner at Old Lady Gang. Day Three would lead us to Stone Mountain where we would take a walk up the mountain and discuss how far we’ve come. Dinner at Arizona’s is mandatory as the Salmon with sweet potato hashbrowns is delish! Day Four we would take a tour of historic College Park followed by dinner at Showcase Food Gallery. Day Five would include exploration of downtown Vinings and dinner at Ray’s On The River. Day Six we would explore Avalon in Alpharetta followed by dinner at Milton’s.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My brother, Kevin, has been a stable force in this season of my life. He has provided advice, resources, and a commitment to making sure I have the space and freedom to be the best version of myself. Without his support, I would not have achieved the professional and personal growth I needed to catapult me into my destiny,
