Meet Oghenetejiri Ogodo Inyanwachi | Medical Biochemist, Model, Craft tutor and Fashion Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Oghenetejiri Ogodo Inyanwachi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Oghenetejiri, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Honestly, as a Medical Biochemist I felt left behind graduating from the University and unable to secure a good Job despite the numerous promises from family members and friends. I felt like I didn’t fit in the white collar job circle. Along the line In 2015, I had to monetize my hobby which is African Print craft(Afrocentric Fashion). I wanted everyone around me, to understand that despite the situation, you can be a stay home mom and be successful (since majority believe marriage is a dream killer(lol). And yes that was how I made up my mind to convert my hobby to a huge source of income and become more professional. I already knew it wasn’t going to be easy but I was ready to take the risk. Slowly but surely I started investing in the right tools to grow my business. I had to compromise on the materialistic things I love just to Create and implement new strategies to build my brand.
Above all the major reason why I started “LàTEJcreations” is/was because of my love for everything “Afrocentric” I wanted to explore the diversity of African fashion by making magic with African prints and providing products that would enhance someone’s life. I believe with God everything is possible if you put your mind to it. With that been said I strongly believe the driving force behind starting my own business was trying to gain a little more control over my destiny.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I call myself “Daughter of Grace” because everything I touch become a source of blessing to me and the people around me. What sets my brand apart from others is “transparency” and my ability to Provide quicker solutions by thinking out of the box. Where I am right now is not where I pray to be, but I’m super grateful for his grace and strength to carry on. Where I am today is simply as a result of hard work and sacrifices.
It wasn’t easy and it’s not easy. Of course challenges will come. But I welcomed every single challenge to shape me for a better future. Like they say “experience is the best teacher”
In my story if there’s anything I’ve learnt is that, the best time to start is “NOW” Been a Medical Biochemist I brag differently. But in the end it led me to my sewing machine.
Today I want the world to know LàTEJcreations as a brand ordained by God and ready to fix your Afrocentric needs.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I’m going out then it’s definitely to get a cup of ice cream(lol). Seeing a movie with friends is super cool and exciting otherwise let’s go swimming
