We had the good fortune of connecting with Briana Edmonds and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Briana, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
My authenticity and enthusiasm for lifestyle, travel, and journalism led me to become a creator.

When I was just 7 years old, I discovered my love for creative writing and began to cultivate it. I actively pursued opportunities to express myself through poetry and other writing projects, and my passion only grew stronger with time. One of my most notable achievements in this realm was winning the most outspoken award during a poetry competition, where I recited my original poem entitled ‘I am somebody’, which focused on themes of affirmations and speaking life and positivity into oneself and others.

My time at high school was marked by an award for creative writing. Notably, my English teacher Erica Linde contributed to my growth as a writer and had a lasting impact on my career path.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Before embarking on my overarching aim and enthusiasm, I assisted in constructing several thriving businesses for others. This collectively encouraged me to create my own brands and remain committed to optimism.

Through persistence and determination, I transformed my thought into an award-winning journalism and PR firm – Ebony Lifestyle Magazine.

Despite the challenges I faced in the previous season, I refuse to let my past define me. Instead, I use those experiences as a catalyst for growth and evolution.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My closest companion is my spouse, which speaks to the authenticity of our bond. As I developed, I naturally drifted away from certain acquaintances with whom I once shared a strong connection. This transformation beautifully illustrates personal growth.

Arriving in Atlanta or its surrounding areas, we would first visit Waffle House for their delectable breakfast. Who doesn’t enjoy a hearty morning meal? Our next stop would be the Botanical Garden followed by The Vault and then conclude our day with sightseeing around the city.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
